Throughout the week, kids will explore a range of creative techniques — from sketching and sculpting to printmaking and paper mâché — all while designing a character from their own imagination and building the world it lives in.
Some projects are big and bold, others are quiet and thoughtful, but each one is designed to help kids build confidence in their ideas, experiment with materials, and feel proud of what they’ve made.

Sketchbook ideas
Each day starts with a sketch, a chance for kids to get their ideas out of their heads and onto paper before diving into materials. They'll learn how to plan, visualise, and think like a maker.
Air-Dry Clay
Kids will shape and sculpt their own character from clay, learning how to build features, textures, and little details. They’ll then add colour and pattern to bring out its personality.
Printmaking
Using foam and lino style tools, kids will create simple single-colour prints and transfer their designs onto colourful backgrounds. They’ll build up a scene using layered shapes, texture, and repetition.
Papier-Mâché Sculpture
This is where ideas will go 3D! Kids will build a structure of their character, then use layers of papier-mâché to form shapes, add features, and finally bring it to life with paint.
Mixed Media Character
Kids will design and build a large scale cardboard version of their character, with movable parts like arms, legs, or tails! They'll use paint and mixed media to finish it off in their own style.
